Description

The Lake Shore Model 372 AC Resistance Bridge is a state-of-the-art instrument combining ultra-low temperature resistance measurement with temperature control. Designed especially for cryogenic applications (below 100 mK), this device uses AC excitation and advanced noise-rejection techniques to deliver highly precise resistance (and impedance) readings across a broad range. Integrated control features enable simultaneous temperature regulation with heater outputs, making it ideal for experiments in dilution refrigerators and other low-temperature physics setups.

Specifications

  • Brand: Lake Shore Cryotronics

  • Model: 372

  • Type: AC Resistance Bridge / Temperature Controller

  • Measurement Range: from microohms (µΩ) to megohms (MΩ)

  • AC Excitation: from ~1 pA up to tens of mA (varied ranges)

  • Impedance / Quadrature Capability: yes, supports reactive (imaginary) component measurements

  • Control Outputs: Multiple PID-controllable heater outputs (up to ~10 W)

  • Interfaces: IEEE-488 (GPIB), USB, Ethernet

  • Noise Performance: Input noise < 10 nV/√Hz typical

  • Operating Environment: Especially built for cryogenic / low-temperature labs

Features

  • Accurate AC resistance and impedance measurement even at ultra-low temperatures

  • Patented noise-rejection design for reduced interference

  • High sensitivity with very low excitation currents to minimize self-heating

  • Integrated temperature control and heater output for closed-loop experiments

  • Expandable channel support via external scanners

  • Multiple communication protocols (Ethernet, USB, GPIB) for remote control

  • Emulation mode to maintain compatibility with older instruments

  • Condition: Used
